Ironic Earth Day!

Irony is when we celebrate Earth Day which is coupled with news of a weak monsoon this year. Earth Sciences Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said there is a 35 percent probability of the rainfall being below normal, because of weak El-Nino conditions. Agriculture is going to face a severe crisis. Food inflation will set in, and farmers will face crop shortage.

Why and how is this happening? Lack of concern for our planet plays a huge role in global warming, climate change and other such heavily-loaded terms. Well, a lot has been written and spoken about what needs to be done. The question is how many Earth days will we celebrate as the planet keeps getting destroyed.
