The Sewage Overflow!

Vaishali, one of the most bustling areas of Delhi-NCR, is developing at a fast rate. A part of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, it’s proximity to Delhi has earned it an array of high-rises and malls. With privileges and comfort, come responsibility. From occupants of skyscrapers to those of slums, every citizen has a responsibility to take care of their city. However, here, I talk of the responsibility of the administration.

The Sewage Lake

One particular area of Vaishali, which is right next to a popular mall, has manholes leaking all over. The sewage overflow has led to dirty water getting accumulated in parks, grounds, roads, etc. The stagnant water has also led to rise in the number of mosquitoes. To top up the issue, the manholes leak every day, leading to gushing water entering the parks.

Repeated complaints fell on deaf ears for a few days. However, the Ghaziabad Development Corporation (GDA) has promised to send its workers to clean up the blockage. We can only wait and watch the action being taken.
